2021.11.28 11:46 waggyalone Below threshold training helped us train our chihuahua/Jack Russel (Boris)
I had a rescue dog (chihuahua/Jack Russel) that suffered from separation anxiety training that took a long time to make him comfortable being left alone. He had 5-6 homes before the age of two! My partner and I spent a lot of money with dog trainers to train him that being alone was not scary. I already had a dog, so I can imagine people who are less experienced struggle. One of the techniniqees they taught us was below threshold training. The idea that you make small changes such as leaving for 5-10 seconds and move up gradually to longer times. We still have our ups and downs but overall its now manageable and he feels a lot more secure.
For us this was super expensive to pay for a trainer to guide us through the process. To help others for a side project I built a website that turns the training we paid for into an interactive guide. The goal is to help others that were in the same position as me, unable to leave the flat without fear of noise complaints. https://www.waggyalone.com
I understand this may get taken down, as It could come under self promotion but my intent really is to help others who have a dog suffering from separation anxiety and can't afford to pay for training.
Regardless I look forward to being an active member of this subreddit helping others overcome there dogs separation anxiety!

2021.11.28 11:46 Psychological_Tear24 The Happy Tree Friends Bonanza: "Banjo Frenzy" Review. (HTF Pilot)
Hey guys, I'm back with another post on happytreefriends.
Today, I'll be talking about the pilot episode of HTF, called: "Banjo Frenzy".
But before we talk about that, let's talk about the history of Mondo Media.
In 1988, Mondo Media was founded by John Evershed and Deidre O'Malley. Mondo initially created content for tech companies, then developed two video games, Critial Path (1993), and The Daedalus Encounter (1995), under the name Mechadeus.
Before they made HTF, they were also known as Tenth Annual Industries, in which they animated Beavis and Butt-head, and other animated shows, at that time.
In the late 90s, they changed their name to Mondo Mini Shows, and they made a pilot episode of HTF.
The pilot episode aired on May 15, 1999. 7 months before the first episode of HTF, was created.
Now, let's talk about the pilot episode.
The episode begins with a dinosaur (earlier version of Lumpy) playing a banjo with the three critters (earlier versions of Giggles, Cuddles and Toothy), but one of the strings of the banjo breaks, causing the critters to laugh at the dinosaur.
Then, he starts flipping out, and killing all the critters. Then, he also does an evil laugh. Toothy's head comes alive, and bites Lumpy's leg, causing him to scream, and end the episode.
The episode was animated and directed by Aubrey Ankrum, who would later go on to voice Pop, Fliqpy and to be the co-creator of HTF.
The characters would later appear in the first episode of HTF, called: "Spin Fun Knowin' Ya", with completely different designs.
Speaking of designs, I'm gonna talk about the earlier versions of Lumpy, Cuddles, Giggles and Toothy.
Lumpy was originally a blue dinosaur that had a green belly, and had those green pointy things on his head, and on his blue tail.
Giggles was originally a light blue squirrel, that had a tail, and had a light pink bow on her head.
Cuddles was still a bunny, though his design was different.
And, of course, Toothy was still a beaver, but he still looked different, by the way.
The show was originally called: "The Happy Tree Friends Bonanza", but, they changed it to: "Happy Tree Friends", to make it better.
So, what do you think of this pilot episode? Do you think it's good, and great? Let me know in the comments below! Bye!

2021.11.28 11:46 jdward01 What’s the longest you’ve held a coin?
The Omicron Dip is not that big of a hit to long term holders, but it’s easy for newbies to get scared into paper hands when they’ve never experienced this sort of decrease before.
Last year’s dip scared off quite a few paper hands, but those that held made a killing after coins like BTC and ETC mooned to their all time highs.
Now, as we come out of this much smaller dip, we could see some coins hit new All Time Highs, which could be great for those who held.
So the question is, whether it was last year’s mega-dip or something earlier, what did you hold onto and what was the end result?

2021.11.28 11:46 nibdoe Booting to Arch can't find ARCH_202111 and Assuming drive cache: write through
So I got a error during the first boot to Arch with a flash drive. Once it says "Mounting '/dev/disk/by-label/ARCH_202111' to '/run/archiso/bootmnt'," it says waiting 30 secs for device /dev/disk/by-label/ARCH_202111. Then it says device didn't show up, and goes to a "Assuming drive cache: write through" message that doesn't progress me through the boot. I'm wondering where I went wrong here because I'm pretty sure it's my fault. I first got a USB and flashed an arch iso on to it using a tool called BalenaEtcher, and then booted my PC off of that.

2021.11.28 11:46 pifnbnd I want to raise a puppy, but I don’t think I could handle the inevitable.
I really love animals they’re so cute, and I’ve wanted a small dog like a beagle for a while now. I feel I would be a good owner as I’m very empathetic and affectionate, but this also comes with a price. I’m very emotional and I don’t think I could handle a dog dying. Is it worth it looking back for those who’ve lost pets?

2021.11.28 11:46 Beginning_Life6004 Is my girlfriend taking advantage of me?
I’ve been with my girlfriend for about 7 months now. She had a job for 4 years but quit shortly after we moved in together 2 months ago. I pay everything and have not said anything to her about it but she has not even talked about finding a new job. Is she taking advantage of me?
